1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LXD Career Accelerator website at lxdcareeraccelerator.com and all related services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by ExceedXD LLC, an Ohio limited liability company doing business as "LXD Career Accelerator" ("we," "us," or "our"), located at P.O. Box 158, Athens, OH 45701, United States. The Service is founded and led by Nana Boadum, PhD.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service is an AI-assisted career coaching platform built for professionals working in learning experience design (LXD), instructional design (ID), and related fields. The Service includes guided stations such as Translation Lab, STAR Stories, Cover Letter Builder, Arsenal Builder, Mock Interview, and others, as well as related content, frameworks, and resources.

The Service uses AI to assist your career search. AI-generated content is a tool for you to evaluate, edit, and apply at your own discretion. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or career counseling.

3. Beta and active development

The Service is in active development. We are continuously adding new stations, refining frameworks, and improving features based on user feedback. As a result:

  • Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time without prior notice
  • You may occasionally encounter bugs, incomplete features, or brief service interruptions
  • The user experience and platform structure may evolve

By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept this active development model. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain core paid features for the duration of your subscription or Sprint Pass term and to notify you of material changes in advance, but we cannot guarantee that every feature available at the time of your purchase will remain available throughout your access period.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

5. Accounts

To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that engage in suspicious or abusive behavior.

6. Subscription plans, pricing, and payment

The Service offers the following paid plans:

  • Sprint Pass — $249 one-time, 90 days of access. Includes full platform access for 90 days plus the Job Search Playbook PDF. Non-renewing.
  • Direct Monthly — $99 per month. Full platform access; cancel anytime.
  • Alumni Monthly — $67 per month. Reduced rate for alumni of Nana's coaching cohorts; requires a valid alumni code; cancel anytime.

A limited free tier is also available, including Translation Lab and STAR Stories with usage quotas described on the Service.

Auto-renewal (subscription plans)

Direct Monthly and Alumni Monthly automatically renew at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access through the end of the current billing period.

Sprint Pass (one-time)

Sprint Pass is a one-time purchase that provides 90 days of access from the date of purchase. It does not auto-renew.

Payment

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees. You are responsible for keeping your payment method current.

Pricing changes

We may change pricing for new purchases or renewals at any time. We will give you at least 30 days notice before applying a price change to a renewing subscription. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

Founding member pricing guarantee

The current rates listed above are our founding-period launch rates. As the platform grows and we add depth across stations and pillars, pricing for new purchases will increase.

Members who maintain continuous active subscriptions during our founding period retain their original rate as long as their subscription remains active. If a subscription is canceled, paused, lapses for non-payment, or expires (including Sprint Pass post-90-days), the member will pay the rate then in effect upon resubscription or new purchase.

This guarantee applies only to direct subscription continuity on the original account and does not transfer between accounts, and does not apply to changes in plan type (for example, moving from Sprint Pass to Direct Monthly is treated as a new purchase at the then-current rate). We will continue to honor the 30-day advance-notice commitment described above before any renewal price change takes effect.

7. Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are unsatisfied with the Service for any reason within 7 days of your purchase, email support@lxdcareeraccelerator.com to request a refund. After 7 days:

  • Sprint Pass: non-refundable
  • Direct Monthly: non-refundable for the current billing period; cancel to stop future renewals
  • Alumni Monthly: non-refundable for the current billing period; cancel to stop future renewals

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to any other user's account
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service using automated means
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any other person
  • Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or its content without our written permission
  • Use the Service to develop competing products or train competing AI models

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

Our content

The Service, including its frameworks (such as STAR+ and the translation methodology), instructional content, AI prompts, code, design, branding, and the Job Search Playbook PDF, is owned by ExceedXD LLC or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal career development purposes only.

You may use AI-generated outputs from the Service (such as résumé bullets, STAR stories, cover letter drafts) in your own personal job search materials. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create derivative products based on the Service, its frameworks, its content, or its outputs. You may not use the Service or its outputs to build, train, or improve competing products or competing AI models.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (career background, work history, draft text, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content solely to provide and improve the Service for you. We do not use your personal content to train AI models or sell your content to third parties.

Feedback

If you provide feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without obligation or compensation.

10. AI-assisted content disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with résumé writing, story structuring, cover letter drafting, interview practice, and related tasks. AI outputs:

  • May contain errors, inaccuracies, or generic phrasing
  • Should be reviewed and edited by you before use in real applications
  • Are not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice and should not be relied upon as such
  • Do not guarantee outcomes
  • Should not be relied upon as the sole input to consequential decisions

You are responsible for the final content you submit to employers and for the decisions you make in your career search.

11. No employment guarantee

The Service is a coaching and skills-development platform. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, offers, salary outcomes, certifications, promotions, or any specific career result from your use of the Service. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your effort, qualifications, market conditions, and employer decisions.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, OR BE FREE FROM ERRORS OR DEFECTS.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.

These limitations apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you in full.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ExceedXD LLC, its members, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any rights of another person.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@lxdcareeraccelerator.com.

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive termination.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute by emailing support@lxdcareeraccelerator.com. We will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service and update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor entity.
